The museum experience connects more than a century of design, engineering, entrepreneurship, travel, housing, and American life with the people whose work moved both industries forward.
RV Founders Hall Museum
RV Founders Hall traces the evolution of recreational travel through historic trailers, motorhomes, housecars, photographs, memorabilia, and interpretive exhibits. The collection includes significant vehicles from multiple eras, helping visitors see how changing materials, engineering, manufacturing, design, and consumer expectations transformed life on the road. Collection highlights include Mae West’s 1931 Chevrolet Housecar, the 1932 Gilkie Tent Trailer, the 1974 GMC Motorhome, and Fleetwood founder John Crean’s 1985 Bounder prototype. The museum also preserves the David Woodworth collection and other artifacts entrusted to the Foundation to keep RV history accessible to the public.
Scoular Manufactured Housing Museum
The Scoular Manufactured Housing Museum gives manufactured housing its own substantial place in the Foundation’s historical story. Historic homes and interpretive displays trace the progression from early mobile living through landmark twentieth-century designs and into contemporary manufactured housing. Visitors can compare changing floor plans, materials, construction methods, furnishings, technology, and ideas about home across generations. The collection connects preserved examples from the 1930s, 1950s and 1970s with modern homes and forward-looking interpretation, showing an industry shaped by continuous innovation in factory-built housing.

Kindlund Library & Archives
Go beyond the exhibits to explore the records behind both industries. The Kindlund Library & Archives preserves thousands of volumes of periodicals, records, and photographs used by industry writers, university historians, and owners researching historic vehicles and homes.
